ALL ABOUT ME!
|
HI! My name is Rosheeta Shah. I am a Neuroscience major at the University of Cincinnati. I am an international student from India who loves to explore and travel! It is my dream to become a neurologist while also pursuing photography. Being a part of the University Honors Program allows me to hone skills that complement my academic goals while also helping me focus on my passions to ultimately become the best version of myself. Having grown up in both New Jersey and Mumbai, I have a unique outlook on both the American and Indian cultures. Coming to the US alone, being separated from all my loved ones, and having to create completely new relationships have given me an eye-opening experience. Although it is daunting, I want to use this time to become independent and chase every opportunity that comes my way. |
My dad always told me, "Don't grow up Rosheeta, it's a trap" and I've followed that motto my whole life, more so now that I am an 'adult'. University is a stressful time, especially since I am 8,154 miles away from home. However, I believe that though I am older, it does not mean that I have to let all the worries, fears, and prejudices that come with growing up plague me. Instead, I plan on working hard, believing in my dreams (no matter how far-fetched they may seem), and letting my imagination and determination run wild.
I am ready for the adventure that UHP will take me on and the great opportunities that the University of Cincinnati holds for me. After all, it was UHP that brought me to Cincinnati and I am sure that UHP will guide me to success in my future endeavors!

Do not grow old, no matter how long you live. Never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born.
